Revive & Thrive

Couples Counseling Revive & Thrive Program

Embark on a transformative journey with our Couples Revive & Thrive approach. Through personalized sessions, couples gain a deeper understanding of their relationship dynamics, leveraging tools such as the Gottman Relationship Assessment to tailor interventions specifically to their needs. From resolving conflicts to fostering effective communication patterns, our evidence-based approach guides couples toward revitalizing their relationship and building lasting resilience.

Our personalized method comprises three primary stages: Evaluation, Dynamic Intervention, and Continuous Support.

Phase 1: Evaluation (3 Sessions)

Session 1 – Initial Couples Assessment (90 minutes $250)

In this foundational meeting, we engage in an in-depth exploration, conducting what we call the Relationship Discovery Session. This interactive conversation explores the intricacies of the couple's journey, from present obstacles and victories to the origins of their bond, assessing their communication styles, and additional relationship strain.  Together, we outline the aspirations that will guide our therapeutic journey.

After the initial consultation, couples will be sent a Gottman Relationship Assessment, a tool designed to shed light on strengths and areas for growth across various dimensions of their partnership, including emotional closeness, intimacy, conflict resolution, shared values, and trust.

Session 2 – Personal Reflections (2 - 50 minutes Individual sessions, $130)

During each of the two separate 50-minutes individual sessions, each partner is allotted dedicated time for introspection with the therapist. In our sessions, we thoroughly explore crucial aspects such as personal narratives, family history, past relationships, and therapy experiences. Carefully assessing each partner's commitment, hopes, and expectations for the relationship, alongside their personal goals, ensures a holistic understanding. Additionally, we conduct a thorough analysis of the relationship's benefits and costs, sensitively addressing potential issues like abuse, betrayal, mental health concerns, and substance use. We aim to foster a supportive and respectful environment, guiding our therapeutic journey effectively while prioritizing each partner's comfort and well-being.

Session 3 – Feedback and Transition to Phase II (90 minutes $190)

During the third session, the therapist distills insights from the Relationship Assessment, fostering a collaborative discussion to map out a path forward. Together, we establish objectives and transition into the Dynamic Intervention Phase.

Phase II: Dynamic Intervention (2-3 Months)

75-minute sessions [$160] or 90-minute sessions [$190]

This phase taps into evidence-based approaches such as the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). Drawing from a tailored toolkit of interventions, we address specific goals and needs, ranging from resolving conflicts to strengthening the bond of friendship and fostering effective communication patterns.

After this phase, couples participate in the Gottman Relationship Assessment 90-Day Post-Test to measure progress.

Phase III: Continuous Support

75-minute session [$160] or 90-minute session [$190]

The duration of treatment varies depending on individual circumstances. Following the initial phase, couples gain insight into the ongoing support needed to nurture and sustain their relationship. This may involve periodic check-ins or continued sessions aimed at fostering growth and resilience.
